This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career within the operations team of a dynamic and challenging growth stage company. The overall objective of the operations team is to manage and execute all daily tasks that are required to deliver the detailed scope of work within the projects focused on automation and prefabrication. As Junior Project Modeling Designer you will be a lead resource the execution of complex virtual construction projects. You will also be critical in teaching our client’s how to navigate CATIA and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to help address the needs of Architecture, Engineering and Construction projects.

Role Responsibilities

As part of the operations team, the Junior Project Modeling Designer will be primarily responsible for:
Create Structural (Mass Timber and Steel Systems) and/or Mechanical (Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical) 3D models for fabrication.
Support engineering project calculations and deliverables as required.
Virtual design and construction review of 2D drawings for all building elements (i.e. architectural, civil, structural, mechanical & electrical) or any other 3D data file into one central 3D parametric model using CATIA.
Attend and support project coordination meetings, deliver live reports to clients and construction personnel for large AEC projects.
Manage revisions in the model that take place throughout the design and construction phases.
Generate various detailing packages linked to the 3D model.
Extensive modeling in CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE and simulation / process planning in DELMIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities (i.e. applying manufacturing engineering methodologies to large-scale construction projects).
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor in Civil, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
Coding experience in VBA, EKL or C# highly desirable.
Willingness to learn the construction industry and how to read construction documents.
Willingness to learn structural and mechanical design engineering of AEC projects.
Knowledge of CATIA and ENOVIA a strong plus.
Knowledge of Revit, Tekla and AutoCAD a plus.
Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills desirable.
Fluent in English.

As part of the operations team, the Software Solutions Developer will be primarily responsible for:
Developing desktop and web-based applications using C# and the .NET Framework technologies including ASP.NET MVC and WPF.
Designing, creating and managing MSSQL Server databases as data sources for applications.

Desired Skills and Experience
Proficiency in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
Strong object-oriented design skills
Experience with the APP.NET MCV framework
Experience with WPF desktop application development using MVVM design patterns
Experience creating and consuming REST web-services
Experience using Entity Framework to create and interact with databases
Basic T-SQL knowledge, SQL Server administration
Experience with source code server (TFS, Github)
Basic web front-end skills (html, javascript & minimal CSS) a plus

Be the lead resource for developing User Defined Features, Product Templates, working with Rules, KWE language, C#/VBA/EKL scripting and SQL as required for both internal use and those of our clients.
Manage the development of automation tools and programs to solve problems in construction and fabrication workflows.
Compile data for constructability reports identifying project risks and opportunities for the application of lean construction methodologies (sequencing, prefabrication, etc.).
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities (i.e. applying manufacturing engineering methodologies to large-scale construction projects).
Recommend internal continuous process improvement projects to help establish best in class systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
Expert at creating User Defined Features, Product Templates, working with Rules and KWE language, EKL/VBA/C#
Significant experience in VBA/EKL Scripting or coding in C# Language.
CATIA experts only – Minimum 3 years of hands on modeling experience in CATIA (V5 or V6).
Bachelor in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering, computer engineering preferred. Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical/Architecture at minimum.
Expertise working with Large Assembly, Publications, Powercopies and GSD highly desirable.
Knowledge of Grasshopper, Dynamo, DELMIA highly desirable.
Experience in the construction industry and ability to read construction documents highly desirable.
Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus, knowledge of Revit/Tekla a plus.
Knowledge of ENOVIA highly desirable.

Leading projects, executing virtual construction conflict studies, interfacing with clients and other project stakeholders.
Creating Mechanical prefabrication spool drawing packages linked directly to the 3D model.
Supporting engineering project calculations and deliverables as required.
Managing the virtual construction and review of 2D drawings for all building elements (i.e. architectural, civil, structural, mechanical & electrical) or any other 3D data file into one central 3D parametric model using CATIA.
Leading site meetings, delivering live reports to clients and construction personnel and managing large projects.
Managing revisions in the model that take place throughout the design and construction phases.
Leading coordination meetings on behalf of the client driving the CATIA model.
Creating concrete detailing packages linked to the 3D model.
Identifying, tracking and communicating requests for information (RFI’s) to the design team/owner.
Compiling data for constructability reports identifying project risks and opportunities for the application of lean construction methodologies (sequencing, prefabrication, etc.).
Generation and coordination of prefabrication models and shop drawings.
CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE training and client support.
Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities (i.e. applying manufacturing engineering methodologies to large-scale construction projects).
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
CATIA experts only – Minimum 3-4 years of hands on modeling experience in CATIA (V5 or V6).
Bachelor in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical/Civil/Architecture at minimum.
Coding experience in VBA or EKL highly desirable
Experience in the construction industry and ability to read construction documents highly desirable.
Experience creating concrete detailing packages highly desirable.
Experience creating mechanical system spool drawings highly desirable.
Experience in mechanical design engineering of buildings highly desirable.
Expertise working with Large Assembly, Publications, Powercopies, UDF and GSD required.
Knowledge of the System Routing/DMU and DELMIA Modules highly desirable.
Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD required, knowledge of Revit and Tekla a plus.
Knowledge of Enovia a plus.
Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills desirable.
Fluent in English.
